Intercultural Communication Institute - Intercultural Certificate Program

This certificate represents a higher level of achievement, including completion of an extensive curriculum of courses and workshops, and receipt of individualized feedback on intercultural competence and professional accomplishments. Holders of this certificate will have received comprehensive practical training and extensive intercultural assessment.

Obtain the Intercultural Practitioner Certificate
Attend an additional 5 days, or equivalent, of related training from an approved source, including professional societies, graduate programs, or independent workshops.

Submit formal documentation of your additional learning.
Develop a professional portfolio that will be reviewed by an intercultural expert selected by ICI. (Guidelines for developing the portfolio are available from ICI.)
The portfolio should include:

Resume/CV and Work Sample
Statement of Intercultural Philosophy
Professional Development Goals
Complete the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and participate in a personalized feedback session with an IDI interpreter.
Participate in a coaching session with a senior intercultural specialist to review your current practice and assist you in considering your future professional development.
