K | India: A Critical-Culture Briefing

India has become a major player in the global marketplace. Understanding how best to collaborate with India and Indians can be a critical asset to individuals and companies, while unresolved cultural challenges can create real stumbling blocks. This workshop will help participants understand the critical cultural differences and identify how to communicate, negotiate, and work effectively with their Indian partners, be it for outsourcing, BPO, or R&D projects, or for partnering with Indians in collaborations, joint ventures, or M&As.

Faculty: Zareen Karani Araoz

Dr. Zareen Karani Araoz is president of Managing Across Cultures, a cross-cultural consulting, coaching, and training firm based in Boston, Massachusetts and Pune, India. Established in 1982, it was the first cross-cultural management consulting firm in India. Dr. Araoz consults with managers and corporations planning to enter India or to expand/enhance their business operations there, trains teams that work with India, and coaches individuals collaborating with India. She is a regular keynote speaker at leading industry events in and about India in various countries.
